I am interested in bio-hacking because changing gene expressions is essentially what I do as a sound therapist, and I choose to keep learning so that this hypothesis could mature and become something tangible. I am currently mapping out a collection of 500+ audible frequency combinations, each has its own resonant effect on a specific type of cell, tissue, organ, and biological systems. On the creative front, I'm working on an album with Aurora Activity Pony (www.auroraactivitypony.com) , a band in which I play multiple soft and hard synths (we played at Maker Faire this year, on Saturday on the solar stage ^_^ ) as well as a solo album www.dioskouroi.org that is more experimental and healing in nature. I'm also a science fiction fan and support anything that brings on William Gibson's vision of cyberpunk and wetware, Ray Kurtzweil's singularity, Asimov's robots and Phillip K Dick's androids.
I am a sound therapist, multimedia artist / musician (graduated MA in Media Arts and Technology, UCSB), innovator, agent of change, lover of technology and all things DIY. I found bioCurious while looking up openPCR's on Kickstarter.
