Improving hardware and systems engineering aspects of proprietary DNA sequencing hardware. On the side, having fun with home fermentation of (so far) sourdough, Kombucha, vinegar, and beer, and pondering a better way to make roofs more energy efficient.
I'm a Ph.D. industrial physicist currently working on hardware at a local full-human-genome DNA sequencing company (who could that be??) . I'm still scrambling along to pick up the biology side of things there, but am making progress.
