What are you working on?

I work in an interdisciplinary group of computer scientists (dry lab) and molecular biologists (wet lab) that is trying to understand the function of noncoding DNA in regulating gene expression during development. The dry lab uses machine learning to mine large genomic datasets to develop hypotheses. My role is provide biological expertise to interpret the findings of the dry lab and to lead the wet lab's efforts in testing the dry lab's predictions using functional genomics.
