Come join a group of self motivated people who have decided to take control of their bipolar (or any mental health challenge) symptoms and journey to a calmer more stable place known as wellness. Each week we will discuss a new strategy that we can put in to our tool boxes for immediate or future use.
This is a peer- lead support group where sharing and feedback are welcomed.
The group organizer is Jeana Wheeler, who, she herself, has struggled with bipolar, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and drug and alcohol addiction.
Diagnosed at age 19, she now has acquired the tools and skills necessary to achieve and maintain an effective wellness program and is now ready to share what she has learned.
We will explore some holistic approaches to help with mood stabilization and sleep wake cycles.
Bipolar Recovery is about self awareness and acceptance of bipolar disorder (or any mental health challenge) and to learn how much control you can have, even when mental health symptoms can seem so out of control.
Employment and the various options that are available will be explored.
Adressing rapid cycling and mixed states is important. Bipolar takes on many forms and expresses itself differently in each individual. That's why it's called the "Bipolar Spectrum" as is any thing in life:0)
