Gin - first discovered by British troops in the 1580s and, by the 1720s, it's estimated one in four households in London were used for the production or sale of Gin! A grain spirit, it is flavoured with juniper berry and botancials including coriander, cassia bark, angelica and liquorice. Thankfully today gin has regained its popularity and the choice is huge and during our gin tasting evenings we will not only taste some of the traditional gins but also try american gins, speciality gins, local gins and a few gin cocktails.
So, why not book a place and join me for a fun evening of gin tasting, discovering which gins suit your palate, which tonic to put with your gin and even what garnish! I promise you'll never even look at a bottle of Gordon's again!!
We will have a table reserved in the victorian gin parlour at the Jekyll and Hyde pub on Steelhouse Lane - as numbers are strictly limited, please do only reserve a place if you want to participate in gin tasting and will attend.
I look forward to being your hostess for the evening!
