A good hour in each pub. Plenty of time for much merriment and alternative alliteration.
Meetup Group "Tamworth & Lichfield - New friends - Chats - Drinks - Laughs" say they'll come along as well.
This pub is a narrow, but long building that retains a lot of character. Smallish place but felt bigger, somehow. One of the best old pubs around. Good beer, good management, friendly patrons.
Sir Robert Peel
Local CAMRA pub of the year 2007. Top town centre boozer. Probably the best pub in Tamworth. The pub hosts up to five changing guest ales usually from small brewery's from around the country. The real cider is often from Weston's.
A large open style hotel bar which is more pub like than your average hotel bar. Fantastic terracotta Victorian exterior. Large open plan interior. "What a fantastic place, very nice decor. nice friendly staff. Very good range of guest ale's"
This event is shared with Birmingham IVC so if you come along you'll meet some people who are not from Meetup. Birmingham IVC is a voluntary not-for-profit organisation that exists to put on Activities for grown-ups (who aren't too grown up) in the West Midlands. It is run by the members for the members. You are very welcome to come to all the events Birmingham IVC shares with this Meetup group with no pressure or expectation that you will ever join Birmingham IVC although of course you can if you want to. Birmingham IVC does not charge for events although if there is a cost (eg go-karting or a meal) you'll obviously be expected to pay your way. You can find out more about Birmingham IVC here http://BirminghamIVC.org
