BitDevs is a group tailored towards software/hardware developers interested in the Bitcoin protocol--you can be well versed or new to the arts, all technically inclined are welcome. We now have two types of meetups. Each meet twice per month.
Socratic Style Meetups:
Meetings begin with Bitcoin-related announcements gathered and presented by the organizer; comments and questions are welcome during this period. Following announcements, meetings will follow a discussion style format, with topics being guided by attendees. Discussions will cover subjects such as: Bitcoin improvement proposals, testnet, alternative Bitcoin implementations, core development current events (bitcoin-development mailing list, bitcoin github repo issues, #bitcoin-dev etc...), alt. cryptocurrency development, building/modifying Bitcoin-related software/hardware (clients, mining software, mining rigs, mobile wallets, exchanges, trading bots, arbitrage exploitation, Bitcoin marketplaces, ATMs, etc...), security, scalability, Bitcoin contracts, colored coins/smart property, regulatory compliance scripting, alternative uses for the underlying Bitcoin technology and so so much more. To complete the meeting, attendee presentations are welcome and encouraged! Email the organizer if you'd like to present. We go out for dinner after as well. Again, all are welcome but be advised: discussion will get technical.
Links to topics discussed are emailed out after each meetup.
Head over to 40 Broad Street with your computers and come build cryptocurrency related tools and socialize with fellow developers. Network, chill out and have a good ol' time.
