There is no way I'll make it with traffic and rain. I'll post the next one in the University area. I really wanted to introduce and get feedback on a site I just created for Bitcoins too, Satoshiboard.com.

Wow, I like Satoshiboard! It looks very similar to some other type of site. ;) Still, I think I have some stuff that I'd love to unload for Bitcoins. I'll try to make use of it in the coming weeks. Really cool.

Ill make use of it today to sell my USB External Hard drive. The box it came in said it was "for mac" in small print and I didn't notice it.

Guys, I had a good time. As I briefly mentioned, my wife and I have a new one due in mid-September. This last month, or so, is the really busy time and the first couple months after our son's born will be pretty hectic too. I mention this because I am not leaving the meetup group, but there is a fair chance that I won't be seen again for another 3-4 months. So, it was good to meet all of you. Hope to meet you all again. Hopefully soon! If you want get in touch or have questions, feel free to email me. rhartness at the google email place.

"Bitcoin University" was and is a bit misleading since it doesn't have anything to do with University City. I live in Ballantyne, close to Fort Mill. Hopefully we can discuss moving to a more centralized location (possibly uptown) or consider the idea of rotating locations in a way that can be a bit more beneficial to the group. Either way, I think we could certainly find a better location. Steele Creek is pretty far for most everyone.

I am not a fan of the group name either.. It might be more inviting to call it something general like "Charlotte Bitcoin Meetup"

Lol I live 5 minutes away from that Panera bread. If downtown is a next choice, cost sould come into thought. I don't know the costs of holding a table for a group, but downtown bars/restaurants are quite expensive. Maybe we should look for a SouthEnd location? As for naming (if it can be changed) why not simply Bitcoin Charlotte?

I think the second topic should be moving the Bitcoin University Group meetings closer to the University. Errr... I just realized how far away this was!

I thought for sure the meeting was at the Panera Bread across the street from the University. :/

I think the very first topic should be about who should run this meetup from now on, or if there are any other similar local communities of which are best to join. By the time we meet therell only be 1 day left!

Looking forward to meeting some other Bitcoin advocates! Will have some Bitcoin to buy and sell there as well!

I will try to be there but I can't make that promise. I really enjoyed our last meeting. I'd step up to be the new organizer, but I don't have a consistent enough schedule to commit.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
