Washington, DC Bitcoin Users Group Meetup

The theme of this month's meeting is bitcoin wallets.  We'll talk about the bitcoin-qt wallet, online wallets, mobile wallets, and paper wallets. Of course, we will have are usual roundtable discussion and open forum including the future of mining after block 210,000 and will the ASICs ever really appear? Have you heard about Seals with Clubs?

We talk tech and can do some trading of bitcoins. Bring your ideas, questions, and even your laptop if you'd like to demonstrate an idea or website. We meet at the North Side Social in Arlington, very near the Clarendon Metrorail Station on the Orange Line.  Parking is also easy to find.

We had a great meeting last week. I want to thank Patrick, Matt and Dmitry for coming, especially Dmitry who traveled all the way from Baltimore. The discussion on Bitcoin wallets, the different types and their pros and cons, I thought, was very insightful. We also talked much about the business side of mining and gaming.

Darrell, thanks for the suggestion. I talked it over with Matt, and we thought it was too late to change the meeting venue. Of course, any of the other user group members are welcome to attend the U street meeting with Darrell. Perhaps we could get a report at the next users meeting. Thanks again, and we'll see the rest of you at the Northside Social.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
