What Happened at Mt.Gox? Is Bitcoin Dead?

No doubt many of our members have sincere questions, perhaps even doubts about how the demise of Mt.Gox means for bitcoin. We have a few members who've been in regular contact with industry insiders and they will break it down for us tonight!

If you have concerns or just need an itemized distillation and discussion of the events that lead to the Mt.Gox shutdown, and what we can expect in the aftermath of the unsettling news this week then make sure to come out tonight.

If any of our members have contact with journalists, local press, etc., please send them an invitation that they might join us tonight as well and be more equipped to write cogent pieces on this major story.

We'll also have our resident bitcoin professor deliver another beginners Bitcoin Nugget, and any members interested in presenting their topic of choice to our group will be afforded 10-15 minutes to do so. Just email Will and he'll get you slotted in.

See you this Thursday and every Thursday at Bad Genie!

What is the best candidate for BTC acceptance? Anyone have ideas? Real Chili? Cubanitas? Sababa? Anyone know any business owners or have good rapport?

No idea as I'm new to downtown. I know Ward's, that I visit regularly, participates in a lot of online stuff, e.g. OpenTable, Yelp, and Restaurant.com......Never spoke with the owner.
