Bitcoin PHL Weekly Meetup

A business owner in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia has graciously offered us the use of his Bar/Restaurant as a meeting place.  There won't be any sort of obligation to purchase anything or to be a paying customer although I'm sure that many of us will be. So please don't hesitate to come even if you aren't able to patronize the location.

They have a full menu and bar. I haven't eaten there in quite sometime so I can't comment on their food.  The place is a bit quirky but I think it'll be a welcome change from meeting at the Starbucks.  We'll have a little bit of privacy and pretty much have the place to ourselves.  It's also a rock club with full sound system and projector. So we would even hold presentations there if someone would like to share their knowledge.

The best way to get there is by taking the Market-Frankford El (Blue line).   Get off at the Girard Ave stop.  After descending from the subway platform turn left onto fronts st and then in about 50 ft turn left onto Girard Ave.   Walk another 250 ft down Girard, past the 7-11 and you will find the M-Room on your left hand side.  If you hit Frankford ave you went 50 ft too far.

There is usually parking under the El at that time as well. Most of the commuters who park there have gone home and the party crowd has not yet arrived.

You can also take the 15 Trolley or the 5 bus.  I think the 25 bus drops there too.

For questions contact us here, at the Bitcoin Philadelphia Facebook page or

We'll also be asking for small donations via bitcoin to help offset the subscriptions costs of the meetup group. There will be a scanable QR code passed around at the meeting.  The address will also be posted on the website and meetup page.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
