Simon, I'd like to invite you on behalf of the Bitcoin Wednesday team to come join us on March 5th and present your pro-regulatory ideas. It's sadly very seldom that people who take such an opposing viewpoint are willing to come and openly discuss and debate the issues in an intelligent way. While many of us may find your ideas short-sighted, we'd like to encourage dialogue and exchange ideas. Although I've yet to hear of any regulatory scheme for Bitcoin that would accomplish more than protecting the banks or shows sufficient understanding for how Bitcoin actually works, I'd also be very interested in hearing new suggestions if you have any.

Hello, will anybody here be attending the KNAW symposium "De Wiskunde en Informatica achter Bitcoin"? Attendance is free, but registration is required. Given their Dutch titles, I expect at least some of the talks to be in Dutch. In any case, I'm going. :)

The restaurant/cafe accepts bitcoins? I walk past the cafe at least once a week, but do not know if they accept. This will be my first meeting too.

Does that mean there are zero cafes in Amsterdam (the capitol of the Netherlands) accepting bitcoin? That seems pretty strange to me. 1% of the dutch people have bitcoin. 3.17% of the NYDFS Bitcoin Hearing live watchers where from the Netherlands. Thats almost dubble compared to the USA's residents by country. The Netherlands is the leading bitcoin country in residents/country. Guess there is some work to do. :-D

Two questions. First of all is it okay to bring a friend? Second, we are both <18, are we still able to enter the Cafe?
