The BizSparkSF Meetup Group is pleased to present an evening with Jeff Atwood. An internationally renowned presenter who is sometimes called, "The George Clooney of Programming,"[1] he is known for his blog codinghorror.com[2] and as a co-founder of Stack Exchange[3].

Jeff will be speaking about his experiences building Stack Exchange into the incredible community it is today. He will offer up five more scary rules for building social software, based on his experience at Stack Overflow and Stack Exchange. Always guaranteed is his awesome voiceover work and in-person antics.

Jeff Atwood is a software developer, book author, podcaster and writer of the popular blog Coding Horror. Together with Joel Spolsky, he founded the question-and-answer website network Stack Exchange, which includes Stack Overflow for programmers, Server Fault for system administrators, and Super User, for general computer-related questions, as well as many similar websites surrounding topics decided on by the community. [4]

The BizSparkSF[5] user group is for Bay Area startups using .Net (or other Microsoft) technology and those that are part of Microsoft's BizSpark program. We host speaking engagements, dinners and other events to serve the MS/.Net startup ecosystem.

solid presentation by Jeff, great to see his thinking and insights... could have been a bit shorter by reducing the beginning slides and getting to the principles faster

Jeff was a great speaker, as expected. Everything else was really good. The organization, the venue, etc.
One note: The event was officially starting at 6:30, so for some reason I thought Jeff would start his talk at 6:30. Maybe for future events there could be an agenda with something like "6:30 - meet and greet 7:00 - main speaker - etc". But this is a small details on an amazing night.
