Set in Brazil in the early 1920s, Col. Venancio (Flavio Rocha), an overseer of a large agricultural operation, is outraged when he learns that one of his workers, Mestre Alipio (Macale), has been teaching Capoeira to other employees. 

Angered at the slaying of his teacher, Besouro(Dark Beetle), a student of Mestre Aliio, sets out to avenge Alipio’s killers and dismantle the oppressive conditions of his colleagues.
