How did you hear about Black Cinema Club

No answer yet

Whats your favorite black movie of all time.

Bamboozled, I have many great movies, and this is not necessarily among the greats, but what it stood for made it one of my favourites. It's a Spike Lee classic looking at the black/white experience and for want of a better word the 'coconut' issue.

What's been your best cinematic experience

It's been a while, but I would probably say Do the right thing, by Spike Lee is one of the best experience. So many of us, total strangers came out that cinema in liecester square and we had the same feeling,, somethings have to change and that movie just brought it home to us that we have to look at our set up in the work place and in general society, and do what we can to make it better.

Tell us a little about you

I'm a strong Jamaican who never tires of telling anyone who ask about Jamaica. I love my home country and am happiest each year when I touch down at Mo-bay and breathe in the delights of JA and her beautiful ilse. I love to travel and the photo in my profile was taken in Kokrobite Ghana earlier this year, March 2012.

My name is Jenevia, I'm also known as Dee and I'm currently enjoying being 50+.

What Jenevia G. is saying about this Meetup Group

Brixton meet-up tonight was fabulous. I noted 29 names but there were more as not everyone made it to the pre show meet-up. At the end it seemed our numbers were nearer the 40 mark. A special thank you to Eshe for bringing 3 other s with you, Ima, Deola, Enrico, Al, Lydia, Cheneen, Letitiah, Cameo, Mohamed, just to name a few. Jide for coming all the way to Brixton, thank you. We will debate this movie in more detail next tiem we meet, once everyone has had more thime to diegest what they say tonight. Bless eveyone who came and thpse who attended the North London meet-up too, I hope you had as much talk time as we did before and after the show. Peace, Dorrett Jenevia.
