I can't pinpoint ONE favourite, there are too many that I love for totally different reasons; anything from The Education of Sonny Carson to Boyz in the Hood, from Carmen Jones to Coolie High, Eves Bayou, Superfly, The Colour Purple, City of Men, Hoodlum...
Probably watching Gandhi as a young infant. It left such a huge footprint on my underdeveloped brain that had it sparked off a lifelong interest in the effects of colonialism on the world. I haven't watched it since I was about 5 years old but I remember the emotion it aroused in me till this day.
Keen film and music lover. With exposure to a plethora of backgrounds and cultures, I find myself seeking and enjoying new activities and pastimes. I'm looking for like minded people to share that interest with. I'm very interested in black culture and I'm always excited to find new black films ( not crazy about Tyler Perry films though, to be honest).
Hiya, I love films and documentaries and it's exhilarating to find a group of like minded individuals.
