There is such a wealth of black film that it's really hard to pick one but as my hands are tied and you've asked "Which is my favorite", i'd have to say, "Alex Hayley's, Roots". Great acting, a wonderfully written TV series and fantastic filmography. It was aired in London at a time(1977) when very few films were on mainstream TV showcasing black acting/writing talent.
Close Encounters of The Third Kind.....3rd Year in Secondary School and the entire 3rd year student body marched up to the Coronet in Elephant and Castle. This group of over 300 kids were stunned by the great special effects and amazing storyline & acting.
Enthusiastic movie goer & love black film
Love film, love being with positive and like minded people and exploring ideas.
Another well put together and well attended event. More success to the team and a special thank you to Dionne who volunteered to help for the evening.
