The purpose of this group is to discuss and explore what it means to be of African descent and awake in today's world. We will discuss and reflect on a new Black Consciousness by evaluating the movements of the past, integrate their best offerings, and learn ways of elevating consciousness and worldview so that a more harmonious and effective way of living is attained.

If you would like to understand more about important aspects of African history, culture, values, philosophy, worldview and wisdom—and how you can benefit from them in today’s modern times, then this is a group for you. We will learn and discuss how to develop awareness, sense of self, and direction for ourselves and our community, network with others with common ideals, and have meaningful fun.

This group is open to everyone regardless of race or creed because everyone stands to benefit from the African experience.
