I hope everyone is getting some writing done. I know the nice weather is making it hard to sit at a computer. The beach and park have been calling my name.
Our next workshop will be July 12, 2014. We will meet at the New York Public Library of the Performing Arts at 1 pm. The library is inside Lincoln Plaza. The plaza is off of Amsterdam Avenue between 64th & 65th streets. The library is in the back of the plaza, past the MET.
Also, please keep in mind the workshop will include my other meet up group, Screenwriters Rising! It will not exclusively be a workshop for writers of color. Please join that meet up as well.
Once inside the library you past the check in/out counter and make a right. Straight ahead, passing the computers on the left and the elevators on your right you will see the Wichcraft Kiosk. Across form the kiosk is the cafe, we will meet there.
You can submit up to 15 pages of your script for the workshop. Also, please remember the fee to attend is $1. Also, the fee is for everyone who sits at the table, including friends attending to just keep you company.
And just an FYI, the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council has some opportunities for artists. You can apply for a grant.
And also check out IFP's emerging storytellers. It is for writers seeking producers and directors. Sounds like an amazing opportunity.
I look forward to meeting you and reading your work.
