The Black Lions Boxing Club is a FRIENDLY club for all people regardless of experience or physical ability to enjoy the fun of boxing without the pain.
For those who don't know, boxing is a very challenging hobbie. Unfortunately many people are not able to enjoy it because they don't have the time to stay in shape. Others can't enjoy it because they don't like getting hurt. Whatever the case may be, I truly believe in creating an environment for everyone regardless of of their perceived disadvantages in age, size, gender, and athletic ability to enjoy the sport of boxing.
Everyone is allowed and encouraged to join even if they have no experience in boxing. No commitment is necessary whatsoever - we only ask that you try it once!
*** HAVING YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT IS RECOMMENDED BUT NOT NECESSARY! ***
*** Most of the sparring will be done at a small gym with a ring during closing hours. ***
*** Meetups may not always be sparring related. We might gather up during big fights and watch a PPV event together or maybe we'll all go hiking together or just running workouts. ***
The goals of the club:
Establish a comfortable learning environment for all those wanting to learn the basics of boxing.
Keep everyone involved. All members are fighters and coaches for one another. While this may not be the best way to become an expert boxer, it certainly is the most fun way to be involved in boxing.
Maintain a rare environment for enjoying the actual "fighting" aspect of boxing without the pain.
CLUB RULES:
- Absolutely no full-force hitting. All rounds will be held at a controlled pace even if that means slow-motion pace (AND WE MEAN THIS).
- No disrespect to other members.
- Having too much pride or ego is not welcome here!
- Not allowed to test your own or someone else's physical limits.
- Sparring pace can only be sped up when BOTH boxers are comfortable and not getting hurt.
Different Members We Come Across:
