Join us for the BNN Fall Hike and an optional visit to a Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, October 12th. We'll take a Saturday excursion to the Sawnee Mountain Preserve in Cummings, Georgia on October 12th. We'll meet to carpool at 9:00 a.m. at the I-HOP near Cumberland Mall (2530 Cobb Pkwy, Smyrna, GA). We'll take a 3 mile moderate hike on a hiking trail, leading to a gorgeous Fall mountain view. The hike will be led by a Park official, who will also provide for us a history of the area and the contributions and way of life for local Indians. Afterwards, for those who'd like to, we'll go a little further north to Dawsonville to visit a local Pumpkin Patch and Gift Shop (Bradley's Pumpkin Patch). The cost for the hike is $6.00 per person, and must by pre-paid at by no later than Friday, October 4th at www.blacknewcomersnetwork.net. We also ask that those who carpool chip in to share in the cost of gas (suggested contribution of $7-$10.00 for non-drivers).
We hope to see you on the trail for a wonderful Fall Hike!
