I've come to see religion, namely the evangelical Christianity of my youth, as irrational, crippling, divisive and, at its worst, destructive. I've tried very hard to adhere to Christianity over the years. But I've had far too many outrages and heartbreaks to consider myself a believer. It just seems that religion has done more to hem people in than to empower them to live their lives to the fullest. More than anything I'd love to meet others in the humanist/nonbelieving community.
My name is Jnai (juh-nay) and I've come to regard myself as agnostic. Looking for positive, free-thinking and brave folks. Cheers!
