This group is for fun-loving, successful, professional black women aged 35+ who are married to a male of any different race and want to network, socialize, form new friendships and share the unique challenges and rewards of interracial marriage with others who can relate. If you're like me, most of your friends are married to men of the same race. So, the goal here is to create a sisterhood and exchange with other vibrant, interesting black women who share similar marriage and multi-cultural family experiences. Simply put, let's have fun while we inspire each other and thereby enrich our lives.
You’re mature, live life to the fullest and have a wide range of interests. You enjoy relaxed casual to elegant social and networking events including: lively book, movie or current event discussions; museums and the arts; shopping & bargain hunting; dining; wine tasting; brunches; luncheons, spa & fitness, and attending professional forums. You have eclectic taste in music extending from R & B to classical, jazz, opera, pop, reggae...etc. You’d attend fun social and/or professional networking events held on Long Island and/or New York City locations.
Will Spouses/Children be Invited to Events?
From time-to-time, we may decide to include our “other race” spouses in gatherings or network with other complementary interracial meet-up groups that offer events for both parent and child – however, "Black Women in Interracial Marriages" is an adult ladies social/networking group. Meet-ups will not include spouses or children. So leave the "boys" and kids at home and let's gather to greet, support, exchange ideas and celebrate us - the fabulous, accomplished women we are!
I'd like to keep this group relatively small, therefore, membership to this meetup is selective.
