The Lafayette Symphony will be kicking off their upcoming season on Saturday September 14, 2013 with a performance alongside PROJECT Trio-- a Brooklyn, New York based group comprised of bass, cello, and flute. This ensemble boasts an eclectic repertoire incorporating elements of jazz, hip-hop, classical, rock, and even beat-boxing flute!
Before the season starts, we will be meeting up on Thursday September 12, 2013 for a closed door reception with The Prelude Project- the Symphony’s group of young patrons. The reception will feature drinks and hors d’oeuvres, an introduction to the Symphony, a behind the scenes tour of the Long Center, and a chance to listen in on the rehearsal and meet and mingle with members of the Symphony and PROJECT TRIO.
This is an informal event, and you don’t have to stay the entire time. Below is a time line of the event:
6:30- Drinks/Hors d’oeuvres in the St. John Pavilion (Long Center)
6:45- Intro to the Symphony and a Behind the scenes tour of the Long Center
