The workshop was great. Even though I'm completely new to it, I feel better about tinkering with the software after the workshop.

A perfect setting and atmosphere for an introduction to the Blender GUI and general features.

Thanks again to all those who came to this meetup. Money from this meetup is going to help with studio expenses. Please leave some feedback on what you thought of the workshop and what you suggest to make it even better.
I'm going to send you copies of the blend files each of you were working on.

    All the best,

Hi Randy, As this is a small class, we can tailor it to the needs of the attendees. It is by definition an introductory class, meaning no experience necessary.

I'm totally new to Blender. I'm know virtually nothing about 3D modelling. Is this class geared toward me or would I just be slowing everybody down?

Hi Sekou, No, you won't need to bring a laptop as we will be providing the workstations with 23" LCD screens for each.

do we need to bring a laptop to this meetup?

Hi Bruce, No, not all the meetups we hold charge a fee. We want to be able to provide a community space for this user group at our production studio, and at the same time we want to also provide a low cost environment for people to learn. However there is the reality of the rent to be paid on the space, and the trainers also need to eat. One can't expect to get everything for free in this world, but we are trying to keep it as cost effective as possible.
