The party, having thought they escaped the pyramid prison to leave General Ozal facing a legion of prison guards, discover they have been ambushed by Rheinhart and the Warduke. Kheldon the dwarven fighter fought valiantly to protect his companions from the onslaught only to be killed by the Warduke's soldiers. Eventually the party, joined by two of the prison guards, fend off the attackers, but only to discover that the Warduke has framed them for stealing a dragon treasure. The black dragon, incensed with anger at the theft, attacks the party with out mercy. Ultimately, the party defeats the dragon, but the true threats escape.

The party recuperates and reloads. Having heard of a skull location, they head to the desert city of Tyr to speak to Varan Starskeeper, master of antiquities. He has a goliath skull of jotunheim, but asks the party to remove the curse upon his estate, before giving it to them. While investigating the mysterious curse, the party's attention is diverted while both the skull and a mysterious mask are stolen from the mansion.

Soon, bodies begin to appear, sucked of all life. Clearly a killer is on the loose within the city of Tyr. The party tracks the theft to the head of the Tyr underworld, a man by the name of Talon. They discover he was hired to aquire the skull, but the man he recruited to steal the item has welshed on the deal. The party decides to set a trap for the thief/murder. But, upon returning to the Starskeeper manor, they learn of the mask and its forgotten master. They set their trap, only to discover not one, but two killers. The thief possessed by the evil mask and its mummy master demanding its return.

Starting level 8, one magic item at level 8, one below level 8 allowed. All 4th edition character classes/races from player's handbooks allowed.

"Each time you reach a milestone (see page 259), you gain one additional use of a magic item daily power. This benefit can be used to activate any magic item daily power that you have not already used this day (even if you?ve already used a different daily power from that magic item)." PHB 226 Use the gauntlets early in the day and save that dwarven armor heal for later?

I looked up the stats on the Frost Gauntlets. They are actually not doing anything for me unless I burn a daily Item Power on them. If somebody else needs them in the group, I would gladly transfer them to that character, or we could disenchant them and get something much more useful for the next session since we stopped off in town.
