The party joined by the triumphant return of the cleric Vorn travels to the Monastery of the Sundered Chain. Hoping to convince Balgram to call back the troops to protect the the monastery, they quickly learn that Jendrack, son of Deivas, has returned and it coordinating the war on the Yuan-ti with his generals. The party decides to divide their efforts. Some go to the bar to find out more information, others search for items of the Warduke to scry for his presence, and others search outskirts of the monastery to look for signs of the oncoming assault.

After spending the night, two of the party members have been poisoned and seek out the herbalist for a possible cure. They discover that the herbalist has been murdered and the key ingrediants to the poison have been stolen. At the same time, the remainder of the party scry to discover that the Warduke is already within the walls of the Sundered Chain. They quickly run to tell the remainder of the party only to discover a heated battle going on.

After investigating and defeating various turncoat members of the Sundered Chain, the party discovers the treachery. They inform Balgram of the events. He seems concerned and leads the party into a trap. A room filled with undead friends and foes from past battles. In the end, the party falls into Underdark bellow the temple. Rheinhart and his followers may think they have finished the party, but there is still a final chapter to be written.

The party has access to a stone to communicate with the Scorpion Clan of Underdark, a book of history on the great war, a ring of Vecna, and three skulls (dwarven, goliath, and bullwog.)

If we end up with a small group due to the holiday weekend, we can either cancel or play a side quest instead of progressing the campaign. As this story line will end in the next few meetings, I'd like to get as many people there as possible that have been playing in it. If we do the side quest, I'll make sure its worth everyone's while.

    •  While are bravado saved the races it has not ended our quest. Bad guys still remain - our job is not yet done.
