Hi everyone,
My name's Scott. I'm a new graduate student at Indiana University, and I found this group on Google. I'm looking to meet people who share my love of the hobby, and I also am interested in starting a weekly or bi-weekly campaign. I'm most comfortable with 4E, though I'm more than willing to run Pathfinder or AD&D (or one of the retroclones such as OSRIC or Basic Fantasy). It would be an ongoing game, with an emphasis on immersion, character development and roleplaying, exploration and site-based adventures, and problem solving. Of course, epic battles are part of the mix as well. :) Friday and Saturday nights are best for me, though I'm flexible. If anyone's interested, drop me an email at scanmurr (at) indiana (dot) edu. At the very least, I'd like to set up a one-night audition "delve" just to see how everyone's play styles mesh and to give everyone a taste of my DMing. Take care! |

You posted at the right time. One of our current DMs is taking a break and we keep adding on new people who want to play, but we lack spots for them. I'm sure we could get several of the new folks and maybe some of the old ones interested in playing.

Fantastic. :)
Anyone who's interested should e-mail me at scanmurr(at)indiana(dot)edu. I can hold up to 4-5 players. |

That would work.
I get my class/teaching schedule next week, so I'll post then. |

Hello All,
I just joined up with your Meetup group, but I thought I would chime in on this board. I've just moved to Bloomington to do my graduate studies at the university and would love to be considered for this (hopefully) upcoming game. To be frank, I'm not interested in playing older versions of the game, but if it goes the 4E route, I would love to join in. Oh, and also, Hello to all of you of the Bloomington D&D Meetup! - Nicholas |

Hi scott, I'm Kevin. I'd be interested in getting in on a 4e game. A weekend game would be best for me, on Saturday or Sunday.

Hey all,
I thought I would add to this topic since other new players seem to be chiming in. My name is Nick and I'm a also a grad student at IU looking to try out some 4th edition D&D. I've never played a roleplaying game before, but am an experienced boardgame and wargame player (Battletech and Warmachine are my two main games), so I think I could pick things up fairly well. My best availability is on weekends, if there is a game happening then that I could join. |

Greetings to all.
I'm a long time Bloomington resident and gamer. I re-started playing about 3 years ago with 3.5 playing in "shacked city, and then 'savage tide'. I switched to the Pathfinder RPG instead of 4E as my main system for play and run in. I have been running a "Rise of the Runelords" campaign for over a year and we are almost done with it. I may start running the Pathfinder Society one shots at the game preserve this fall. discussions are pending. Just a hello! more soon. Daniel http://danielmcdeavit... |
