Jalsberg - Home of Neil Emmenthal
Jarlsberg, golden city of cheese, is the capital of Actand. As the trade hub and social center of the region, its population ranges from migrant dock workers to trade wise cheese-lords to old money nobility and new money merchants. Jarlsberg has thrived under the rule of Barlock and his family, and the Emmenthal family has been one of the prime beneficiaries of his favor. Actand relies a lot on Utaro for its trade and did even before the rise of the empire, so historical ties are strong. The people of Actand for the most part don't always understand why other regions would rebel against Utaro, given the peace and prosperity they've seen. Fjarl Caverns Along the banks of the majestic Pleos River lies a small subsystem of caves, flooded during the spring thaw and early summer. It is here that the earliest settlers found ideal circumstances for the cultivation of specialty cheeses. Old money nobles, like the Emmenthals, often trace their lineage to these first cheese makers of the Fjarl caverns. |

Sekmet Village - Home of Grawr Raker
The Sekmet village could once be found deep in the forest on the fringe of Lithantha, but it was destroyed in Utaro's war of conquest. The village was home to the Sekmet tribe of shifters who worshiped the goddess Sehanine. Hidden Chamber of Sehanine One of the only locations left untouched in the destruction of Sekmet was the most holy lower chamber of the temple of Sehanine. Only used when the equinox falls on the fall moon, this chamber binds the spirit of Sehanine to the world and to her worshippers. As moonspeaker Grawr has visited this chamber, but the time has not come for a service there during his tenure. |

Tabita - Home of Lady Githa
Tabita once was a friendly town loyal to Utaro, but was destroyed by goblin hordes. Nexus All that is left in Tabita is a small grove and at its heart, a shrine dedicated to Corellon which is frequented by the druids and rangers of the Eladrin. Powerful rights are still performed here and it is whispered that it is a nexus for powerful extra-planar energies, ideal for making a connection to another plane. |

Olson - Home of Caelavan DeVakra
Olson is a medium sized town in the middle of a large farming community. Olson is ruled with a caste system that has been in place since its inception, but has shifted hands after a violent civil war followed by Utaro's conquest of the land. Both the town and the territory of Garrota have ancestral holdings dating back from ancient treaties formed between the tieflings of the Far West-East and eladrin of Lithantha who once ruled over the area. Since then, Utaro has placed its own nobles in those holdings, but little has changed the large disparity between the social classes. The primary citizens of Olson are the lower class half-elves with the other common races of the area, (humans, elves, and halflings) filling in the middle and upper class citizens. The majority of tieflings and eladrin have since left the area, but a few of them retained their noble status after striking deals with Utaro. Shine of the Iron Wolves In the poor district within Olson lies a monument to the Iron Wolves. The statue consists of a band of half-elves holding weapons up in defiance centered around a wolf. Hidden within, is a compartment that holds the treasure of the Iron Wolves below. Edited by Kyle on Sep 11, 2009 3:53 PM |
