My open delve has turned into a full campaign and the game was designed specifically with the idea of one shot adventures to allow a large number of rotating players. If you see any posts for the game, everyone is free to sign up and show up.

Introduction (Story):
You've answered the call sent out by the man called Ossian Murdock. Mr. Murdock is the quartermaster of the local ship "La Bussola Rotta" and is he has been assigned with finding a new crew for an exploratory mission into the Namarnor Ocean. The ocean is said to be filled with many islands full of wonders and terrors to be discovered by you and your new shipmates.

Introduction (Meta):
The premise of the game is that each session is the boat stopping at an island to explore, plunder, and trade (if plundering is out of the question). The game is open for both new players and DMs that want to fire off a one shot game (so far we've had games by two DMs). The crew is full of PCs, but the idea is that only a team of four to six get sent out on any given mission while the rest of the crew is on the ship doing chores or restocking on supplies.

Story So Far:
The game started with the PCs being introduced to Ossian Murdock who assigned jobs to each of the shipmates. The PCs had to locate the ship's captain and gunner, captain Flint and Gunner Al, who hadn't returned from the previous nights debauchery. The group discovered that the two men had been involved in a bar fight caused by Al's charming of a local noble's wife and then thrown in jail. The PCs had to break the men out of jail and hauled ass to the boat and open sea.

The first island the boat stopped off at was a mysterious island with a large active volcano. The group was assigned with discovering an artifact of great value, a magical mask. The small party set off into a dungeon full of traps, puzzles, and many fake masks. An epic fight on collapsing pillars, into a 100 foot pit, took place and the PCs barely survived the fight with the mummified bone naga. One of the party members did contract the horrible disease mummy's rot, but thankfully the skill cleric of Pelor was able to cleanse the disease.

The next location of interest was the town Asova, off the coast of Pelevas (see Utaro Map). The task given to them by Ossian was to simple sell off the magical mask the party had found because the captain claimed it was cursed. "I want no less then twenty thousand gold pieces for this mask", Ossian demanded with his ridiculous tone that made him sound more like an idiot then a genius. It was here, Asova, the crew encountered the city living goblins and their strange customs. With a bit of ingenuity and good of fashion threats of violence, the party was able to find a couple buyers. The man they ultimately decided to sell the goods to was a odd man who collected various other trinkets and objects of interests, including another identical mask. After a bit of price talking, the party was able to get exactly twenty thousand gold out of him and a nights rest out of the rain. Unfortunately, the hafling and the wizard's greed exceeded their morality as they disable the man's magical alarms and stole several items. When he discovered them, he attacked with his pet snake and even turned into a snake himself. The crew was able to fend off the assailants, but were unable to find the mask before Kaeothi stormed back to the boat upset at his shipmates and their thoughtless actions.

Cast of Characters (NPCs):

Ossian Murdock (NPC) - The quarter master of "la Bussola Rotta" who takes care of the day to day commanding of the ship. The man is a self proclaimed scholar and know-it-all.

Captain Flint (NPC) - The dwarven captain hates everyone and everything, especially water. The man is often found cursing out the shipmates or stomping around and muttering foul words under his breath. When push comes to shove though, captain Flint is more then a capable commander during a fight. Otherwise, he often leaves most of running of the ship to Ossian.

Gunner Alorino (NPC) - The half-elf Alorina hates to be called Al, which both Flint and Ossian call him. He is a bit of a Casanova character, but the one women he truly wants refuses all his advances, the boatswain Elisabeth Leblanc.

Elisabeth Leblanc (NPC) - Liz is a very beautiful young human, but is quite tom boyish. She hates to be called by anything except Liz and any crew members he call her otherwise will be taught a quick and ugly lesson. The woman is hard one, but she is fair and willing to do her part of the work.
