This group is dedicated to bringing back local road trips to young, fit, bold travelers that want to road trip but think that road trips by their nature, include a car full of fun, interesting and often bizarre characters.... We will take travelers to cool local and not so local historical towns, sites, and homes across the state. This might be historic or prehistoric sites, places that have mystery surrounding them, or places that are charming, mysterious, and beautiful.... The group will also do trips to events, movies and programs that are intelligent, controversial, or just damn interesting. We will also take trips that will be one day and two day adventures and will camp or do some rustic bed and breakfast/rustic inn for the night.

Young travelers, adventures and all outdoor enthusiasts are welcome.....All ages welcome, but we encourage youthful spirit, young minds, and lots of energy. This group is primarily for people that are  between 20yrs to 60 yrs old and who are active, fit, bold, daring and easily adapt to new things and can travel with no problem. I have had a few drama queens in the group and those that just do not get road trips, but I try to appeal to those that want variety of stuff. Anyone can offer suggestions and write up a meetup event!

As far as how I schedule:

I focus on the travelers and ideas for activities- NOT dates and travelers. I want to gather people together around an idea, not a date. We can put together the date later, once we have interest.

Many trips and events are ONE day things- which means they have a definite date

Other trips and events have ongoing dates and repeating schedules. This means that the event or trip has other options. The group will pick a date.  Others can do the trip again or pick another date with other people.

ALSO- The cultural and artistic events are some suggestions for everyone. I encourage you to attend them on YOUR own if we don't enough people to go as a group. I will usually go and you can look for me.

CANCELLATION: I detest people that sign up for events and cancel at the last minute. It really shows poor time management and is very inconsiderate to the event planners who count on numbers to do bookings, logistics, etc. If you are signed up for an event for a considerable time period and cancel an event last minute, I will consider removing you from the group. Please keep me informed when it matters. Thanks.

YEARLY FEE: I feel that charging for the group makes it more of a committed venture for you. The number of people in this group that join but do not participate has been high in the past and I am slowly narrowing my numbers to a more acceptable ratio. The cost per year is ONLY $3. You can give me cash at your first meetup or pay online. I think that's very fair :)

Bill

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
