Same trip as scheduled for tomorrow, but without the rain.
River is still a little high with some flow to it, maybe 1-2mph. Will head downstream first, so have to take that into account - will take longer and more effort to get back.

Sorry we missed you. Waited about 10 min, didn't know if the drizzle on the way scared you off. Tina was a trooper - convinced her to wade through the mud at the end of the ramp and then about 20 minutes of drizzle, but turned out to be a perfect day and she didn't want to stop. Went out about 5.25 to 5.5 miles in about 65 minutes, but took almost 2 hours to get back. So right about 1mph current. She has a pretty fast boat and a good efficient forward stroke.

I would've loved the challenge, although my fitness level leaves a lot to be desired but this would've been a great paddle in the right direction...sorry I could not make the drive...hope to paddle with your group sometime this year. :)

okay, i saw your-alls 4runner and kia and way down the very FAST river i saw 2 tiny kayakers, i magine 10 minutes ahead. im so sorry i didnt meet you all, and i was 15 min late, but really there is no way i could have paddled upstream from the looks of it, id need to be rescued in ohio or new orleans or where ever. hope to meet you all eventually. now i know where campnelson put in is...
Suzanne, this was my first paddle with the group. I am so sorry you made the drive and missed us!! We paddled about 10 - 11 miles in 3 hours and I AM EXHAUSTED! That was the longest, fastest paddle I've ever done. I wish the upstream had been first because I was at muscle exhaustion by the time I was back and would loved to have floated the last 1/2 mile. I did enjoy it though and loved the exercise! I hope to see you soon on the water. What kind of kayak do you have? I have a 14' Current Designs. Tina Nauman
Excellent as usual. Little rain, little sun, little rain and sun at the same time.
Depends on the kind of boat you have. We can look at it, go upstream a bit to see how much progress we can make, and if need be, can go upstream instead of downstream.
i guess ill try it, but i dont know how far ill make ait and i dont know about 1-2mph. looking forward to meeting you all.
It's all going to decide on the weather.

Supposed to hold off until the afternoon here. Hoping to get at least to Candlestick Rock and back -8 miles.
Is it not going to rain in your neck of the woods? We have 90% chance down in South Central Kentucky. Have fun!
This is a group interested in canoing and kayaking the waters of Kentucky, primarily in Central Kentucky but with an eye to the entire state and to neighboring paddling groups. All skill levels are welcome.
