Rating: Beginner, Small Lake, Any Distance, Leisurely Pace
I am out.of.shape! I need smaller trips to build up my body to do some of the longer trips. It seems that our club includes many different levels of kayakers and I am willing to bet that I am not the only one who would enjoy the smaller trips to have fun and build stamina. This is my first post so bear with any mistakes that I make. I am going to pick a bunch of smaller calmer lakes to play in and if you would like to join me, that would be awesome! My first choice is one you may not have heard of: Lake Wilgreen. It is a small interesting little privately owned lake with a store and out buildings (yay!). Putting in will cost you $5.00 per carload. I have learned that it is possible to see beavers, otter, muskrat, and turtles.
Here is a link that has directions: http://www.wilgreenlakemarina.com/ I will arrive at 3:00 and I can return to the main dock easily to meet others if you need to arrive later. Just give me a heads up here. I spotted some heron last Summer so I think this could be a sweet and fun adventure. At least we can get onto the water! My cell phone is[masked]
According to my weather app, the weather should be nice on that day. If it changes, I will reschedule.
