Looks like for this Meetup we will try out meeting on Saturday at 1:30, as per our poll results. The consensus is that you'd like to continue on with Mosaic Technique. Great! Glad to see so many of you that intrigued. It IS a fun and relaxing art that is very hard to screw up, lol.
I take Paypal and will also take checks or cash if you let me know prior that is how you'll be paying.
I am open to suggestions but also just as happy to make the decision:) I'll put a poll up for a few days. We could continue on to the next step in mosaic - working on glass, glass on glass, rounded, or vertical surfaces. How about painting a focal tile and designing a tray or small table or stool around it? We could design and create a garden stone. We could learn some jewelry techniques... We could start to discover polymer clay - I've taught nine week long courses in pc and only scratched the surface:) To me, it's the most fascinating versatile medium ever:) I am open to suggestions! We have TWO open polls npw - please take part!
We'll work on projects we bought the materials for and never started, we'll work on projects we started but never finished. We'll make gifts, home decor items, wearable art, learn skills like painting, faux techniques, warm glass, jewelry making, polymer clay, mosaic, beading, soap making, glass painting, assemblage art, collage, decoupage. We'll also get to know each other, de-stress, laugh, eat, drink, maybe do some activities from The Artists Way, find some things we love to do & maybe get hooked on something new... but working with our hands and no-so-much our brains is the goal, and perfection is completely discouraged. No grades, no tests, no judgements, just fun.
