We will paint, using as inspiration, a painting by Sally Bennett Baxley "Seasons" wall art from World Market. The print goes for over over $100. at World Market; your interpretation will be a one-of-a kind original. Or, if you desire, paint whatever you'd like. We chose this painting as a launching point since it is both simple and attractive. Colors, shapes, and background may be substituted as your muse leads. Here is the materials/supplies list: a canvas, any size (we suggest one with finished sides, no smaller than 8" x 10". Recommend 16 x 20) White, Cream, or light colored paint for background Brown or any darker color acrylic paint pen for stems (easiest but optional - small brush and paint may be used if you like) Acrylic paint in colors of your choice (Sample palette could be Terra Cotta, Hay, Ocean Blue, Rust Red, Baby Blue) Round sponge brushes used for stenciling (optional - you can do circles or whatever shapes free-hand) Gesso (unless your canvas states "primed". I always use a coat of gesso) Large paintbrush to fill in background Smaller brushes for details Paint apron or big old shirt Paper towels, baby wipes I have palettes, water containers, and some easels to share. If you have your own, please bring.
