Welding 201 will expand upon the fundamentals learned in Welding 101. Students will learn to work with thicker material, break welds to review welding techniques and quality, and how to prepare and finish welds. The take home piece will be a small 1/8" thick I-beam, requiring skills learned during the class to complete.
This class is a 3 hour course that will require students to either have taken Welding 101 or come into the Foundery and demonstrate an equivalent understanding of welding prior to signing up. Students can RSVP 24 hours in advance, leaving time for any participant to demonstrate welding skills if required.
Your instructors are Corey Fleischer and Andrew Stroup. There are 8 available seats for this course based on meeting the course pre-requisites and a first come, first serve basis through the Meetup. The course cost will be $75, which includes a pre-class packet (sent out 24 hours prior to the class w/ additional instructions), 3 hours of training, and material costs.
