Project Night

Come on down and join us for our build session. The doors are open and we're here building cool things! The topic of our project night changes on a regular basis, feel free to reach out and ask what we're working on this week.

Have an idea of your own? Great, throw it out there and let's figure out how to make it happen!

NOTE: Our build sessions require a day pass ($5). The event is always open to our current members.

My son, Logan and his friend Daniel helped me rip some 2X4s for a church repair project. We also used the "Bandsaw Pipe Cutting Thingey-do" to chop a steel fixture from our weight bench to size. I then showed them how to take .032 safety wire and spin it with an electric drill to to make cables. Logan took some scrap wood and shaped it to make a mock broad sword. Daniel cut a scrap 4X4 to length but ran out of time befor he could spin it on the lathe to make an oversized chess piece. Jason and Stephen discussed my "momental propulsion" invention with me and recommended the use of ratcheting gears. On our next visit, we will endeavor to bring a box of pegboard hooks, solder flux, wicking, a solder sponge and a replacement 4X4. If someone can get me the size, I can also bring a replacement blade for the small table saw. Thanks for the use of the shop.
