CLASS: Aluminum Brazing

This 3 hour course is designed as an introduction to aluminum brazing. Students will learn how to safely use a map gas torch and aluminum brazing rods to metalwork with aluminum.

At the end of the class, students will complete the course with a take home piece they've brazed themselves as well as the skills and information needed to safely and competently pursue independent aluminum metalworking projects.

Your instructor is Audrey Van de Castle and the assistant instructor is Corey Fleischer. There are 8 available seats for this course based on a first come, first serve basis through the Meetup. The course cost will be $65, which includes 3 hours of training and material costs.

NOTE: Cancellations and refunds need to be requested 24 hours prior to the class start time.

I am really looking forward to this class, I want to build an extendable mast crutch for my Catalina 22 Sailboat to support the mast when trailering and extended to place the mast into a position to make it easier to raise it into a sailing position. I have looked at building a steel mast crutch but that would be too heavy.
