Everything. I think there's great value in knowing how to do many things.
Shared resources are the way to go. Beyond being able to make cool stuff and gain access to tools and space - this movement marks a resistance to the way we've been thinking for the past 50 years (isolated, everyone owning a full set of everything even though they use it once a year). Entities like makerspaces and car and bike share programs I expect will have major impact on what we're able to accomplish as a society. Being able to work with your hands is a really empowering thing, and it's a shame that we've lost sight of that value as a country over the past several decades.
My last job was as a producer of public art events for a nonprofit arts organization. In addition to making my own work I was able to dabble in networking, curating, workshopping, PR, fundraising, and grant writing. I'd love to do anything I can to help the Foundery grow.
