What do you like to make?

I mostly make replica props and some musical instruments. I do moldmaking, casting, prothetic makeup effects, fiberglassing, woodworking, leathercrafting, airbrushing, a touch of blacksmithing and welding. My current project is to build a wood-fired cob(mud) oven. After this, I plan to build either blacksmithing forge or a metalcasting foundry.

What about a maker space interests you?

Access to equipment, the ability to share thoughts and ideas with like-minded builders, the potential for larger scale group projects.

Please let us know of any ways you'd like to help!

Im especially interested in helping with any metalcasting and cnc milling efforts. I've been slowly working towards building my own bronze/aluminum foundry for awhile now. I've specifically been investigating the waste-oil technique from backyardmetalcasting. I have equipment to pull low-grade vacuums for the purpose of vacuum-degassing. I have a diffusion pump that should be capable of achieving medium-to-high vacuums for the purpose of things like neon-light fabrication, vacuum-aluminization and other thin-film depositions, but I'm in need of a few specialty fittings, and my vacuum gauges and gauge controllers are still untested.

Im a software engineer by day, builder on nights and weekends
