Board Game Café is a non-profit alternative to the bar scene to accommodate positive social interaction through board game play in Waterloo Region. It was established as a social justice and outreach initiative of Trillium United Church. We're run entirely by volunteers so we must really like what we're doing! We're open to adults (18 and up) who enjoy classic (Scrabble, Monopoly, card games, etc.) and current (Settlers of Catan, Seven Wonders, Dominion, etc.) board game play. Located in Cambridge at 450 King Street East (enter off of Waterloo Street at the BGC sign), we're open every 2nd and 4th Friday of each month from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am. For only $5 at the door, you get unlimited game playing for the whole evening. Regular and specialty coffees and teas are available as well as a selection of snacks and hot nosh-ables at really fair prices. There's even a YouTube Jukebox where you can request any 3 songs you can think of (seriously, ANY songs!) for only a buck. Even though we're a non-profit raising funds for social outreach and community concerns, we want to provide a fun, social evening for friends at an affordable price. Bring your game-playing friends or come and meet some new ones. We're wheelchair accessible and are welcoming and inclusive of everyone. Get yer game face on and we'll see you Friday night!
