Board Game Café was established as a non-profit fund-raising social justice and outreach initiative of Trillium United Church (in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada) and as an alternative to the bar scene. We're run entirely by volunteers so we must really like what we're doing! We're open to adults (18 and up) who enjoy classic games (Scrabble, Monopoly, card games, etc.) and newer games (Settlers of Catan, Seven Wonders, Dominion, etc.)  We often have some brand new games to try as well!

You may notice the number of RSVP's before a meetup is almost always much smaller than then eventual number of attendees reported after the event. This is because we have many members of the surrounding community who come out which means you do NOT have to be a member of our meetup to come and we have no restriction on the number of friends you can bring - as long as they are age 18 and up! Or, come on your own as many of our regulars do.

Located in Cambridge at 450 King Street East (just south of Eagle St. - entry is on Waterloo Street - look for the BGC sign), we're open every Friday from 8:00 pm to 1:00am.  The location is a safe, well-lit area with plenty of parking on street and in city lots. Check our parking map in the Photo Album section. $5 at the door, regular and specialty coffees and teas are available as well as a selection of snacks for $1-$2. There's even a YouTube Jukebox where you can request any 3 songs you can think of (seriously, ANY songs!) for only a buck.  Bring your game-playing friends or come and meet some new ones. We're wheelchair accessible and are welcoming and inclusive of everyone. Get yer game face on and we'll see you Friday night!
