Re: [boardgames-654] Anyone on this list north of Nashville

I live in Madison and would sure like a group on the north side of town,  I've been thinking of starting my own meet-up group as well.  Must admit, Hendersonville is about as far as I want to drive.  I'm more into board games and card games, not so much the war/strategy games.  Can't seem to find folks my age to play but don't mind playing with you younger folks :-)

Subject: [boardgames-654] Anyone on this list north of Nashville

Hey all-

Was wondering if anyone on this list is north of Nashville.  I am in Springfield and based on my wife's schedule, I cannot make it to the Thursday night Berry Hill game nights except on a rare occasion.

I noticed that there were events in Cool Springs, but that is a bit of a hike for me to drive.

Was looking for game players in the area north of Nashville (Madison, Hendersonville, Clarksville, Springfield, Ft. Campbell, etc.), to think about starting a regular (1x month or every other month) game night up here.

I have about 100 titles.  They are mostly euro/strategy games, but I have lighter games also.

If you use, you can see what I have by searching for my collection.  I use TIMRICHTER9 as my ID.  Here is a link if you use http enabled mail:

I am 37, married with a 6 year old and can possibly host events if people were willing to come to Springfield.

I enjoy German style strategy games (worker placement games, area control games, economic games), but I can also have fun with most any game.

I am also looking for a group of 5 others to give the old Avalon Hill classic Republic of Rome a whirl.  Or a smaller group to try GMTs Sword of Rome.

Games that I own that have not hit the table yet (and I am hoping to try)

Tower of Babel

Sunken City

Le Havre

Wasabi (a tile placement game about Sushi -- what is not to like!!??)

Carcassonne -- The Discovery

Saint Petersburg

Traders of Genoa
