IRVINE - Friday Night BoardGames! (FNB)

  • Mar 28, 2014 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

DESCRIPTION
We're kicking off a new meetup location! Come and enjoy all types of tabletop board games, including:
· American
· Euro
· Strategy
· Deck building and more!

There are lots of shared games, so don't worry if you don't have any. If you do have some games, bring your favorites to teach, and play as well!

Plenty of parking is available.

While their website says they close earlier, the venue will stay open for Board of Games members.

PRIZES!
We'll be giving away some games to celebrate the new location! Your RSVP is required to be eligible to win. You will get one raffle ticket for your RSVP, and you can get an additional two tickets for every meal you purchase. In addition, you can buy more tickets to increase your chances: $1 for 1 ticket, or $5 for six.

The prizes for tonight. http://m.imgur.com/GQfg28j

FOOD AND DRINK
Our gracious venue allows us to play at their facility. Please show your appreciation by consuming large amounts of their low cost food and drinks. OUTSIDE FOOD AND DRINKS ARE  NOT ALLOWED!

You can see their menu by clicking here. As a Board of Game member, you get a free side with every meal purchased. Kitchen is open until 10:00 PM.

Lao Dong has graciously provided an alternative menu for those that want a more traditional food fare. Upon request you can have hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken strips, Fried rice, Fried noodles and pie and ice cream for deserts.

DONATION
We will have a donation container near the game table to accept your contributions. Donations make these events possible and go toward the cost of the Meetup site, name tags, miscellaneous supplies, and prize support for special events. Thanks!

Hey Robert, do you think you could bring Archipelago? I know a few people who have been wanting to give it a shot. Also, I got a copy of Tigris and Euphrates, since, oddly enough, it seems like no one else has it. Definitely want to get a game of that in.

Sorry Michael and Richard, I wasn't able to make it. I will be at TableTop day for sure if you want to play then!?

Hey, no problem, Robert. We got our butts kicked at Terra Mystical instead. Good times. Not sure yet if I'm gonna be able to make Tabletop Day, but I would certainly like to play it if I can.

Ah another galaxy trucker fan wish I had checked meetup earlier. If you plan on coming next week I'll make sure the organizer has a copy.

We will add the additional menu items to the description soon

I met with the manager today, there are going to be additional menu items added to accommodate us. The manager also said that they can make what we like, meaning he can modify dishes. I would think that it would be quite easy for them to make a number of their dishes without meat.

Has anyone eaten here before? Are the vegetarian options any good? I was thinking of taking the wife and kids to dinner, but we can't eat meat on Fridays.
