All Games Welcome Session @ Cafe Games

  • May 10, 2014 · 5:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

All kinds of games welcome at this session - light party or heavy euro strategy! Note the starting time of 5pm

Newcomers are encouraged to start with the earlier session - the "Social Games" Meetup event, but if you can’t make that, this session will still be welcoming. The restaurant will also be serving food from 5-9 with drinks available.

All sorts of games are welcome at this session, including but not limited to:

•  traditional games such as chess, draughts and mahjong

•  modern strategy games such as Powergrid, Arkham Horror, Pandemic, 7 Wonders

•  party games like Dixit, Pictionary, Articulate ...

Yes I will be bringing along *some* games, but this sort of event works best when everyone helps out.

GOLD COIN donation appreciated - helps with costs.

Pay: for food, drink as you go. (This is a restaurant, not your mate's garage, so I should not need to spell out that it's inappropriate to bring your own food and drink)

    Hey,

I recently bought Twilight Struggle. I've played four times and was hoping to bring it along on Saturday to play against someone who is familiar with the game. It will be awesome to check that I'm applying the rules correctly and pick up some strategy tips etc. Would anyone be keen?

How did you find it, Katie? ;)

Well apart from feeling bad when I realised I wasn't playing against Aidan or Joe (sorry!), it was great to see that the USA can win and go to a full 10 rounds :-) You were totally owning Europe and Asia, I will try do the same when I next play as USA hehe.

First full day at Cafe Games, had a great day. I'm looking forward to getting in to some of the deeper strategy games. Thanks so much for hosting, see you next time!

@Todd: we found one of your red cities from the Settlers Game on the floor. I gave it to Christopher, you can pick it up next time!

Sorry, going to have to withdraw. Bit too exhausted today.
