In my experience in working with many client's, one of the most effective fitness methods for helping one to loose weight and increase energy is to run. Why is this? Running, recruits practically, all the muscles in our bodies. Particularly beneficial is the recruitment of our large muscle groups. Using these muscles allows for greater calories and fat burn leading to a strong, learner, healthier YOU!
What is different about this fitness boot camp is that we will use running as a centerpiece of our fitness focus for building you a more fit and healthy body. In addition to running, other types of exercises designed to strengthen, tone, and to increase flexibility, and energy will be used to help boost fitness throughout your body. Who is this runner's boot camp best suited? All Fitness Levels!
Beginner Runners-seeking to improve overall fitness and/or to prepare to run in their first 5k race and beyond.
Intermediate runners- your running experience has been an on-and-off affair. Perhaps, at one time, you ran regularly, and even participated in races. Then "life" got in the way and you became inconsistent. You are now ready to resume a more consistent running/fitness regimen, and now wish to use running as a way to either increase overall fitness and or to prepare for upcoming races (i.e., 5k, 10k, 1/2 or full marathon).
Experienced Runners- you run regularly, feel that you are doing well, but could do more to improve your performance. In addition to receiving track workouts (i.e. sprint, running intervals), you will receive very important and often overlooked core strength training! Runner's typically have lower body strength, but lack upper body strength. The workouts you will receive are designed to improve overall body strength, balance, and coordination leading to faster race times, fewer injuries and/or faster recoveries, and improved flexibility.
As a Certified fitness instructor and running coach, you"ll receive my coaching, motivation, and support to help YOU to get into great shape ,or to take your fitness to the next levels! Workout's are designed to help you shed unhealthy body fat, for lean fat burning muscle, strengthen your cardiovascular system, improve coordination and flexibility and hopefully have you feeling the most fit and healthy you have ever been! All fitness levels are encouraged to participate. If you are interested in joining this group, here is what you need to do: be approved by your Doctor to participate in exercise.
Since these workout's will be body weight exercises ( no equipment), your requirement will be to bring a towel, floor mat, wear comfortable exercising apparel, water, and your motivation, and commitment to get fit! You can expect the workout session to last from anywhere between 45 minutes to one hour.
