I have updated the route, but for some reason it won't link. Copy and paste the text bellow into your browser and it will show you the route. The total trip is 5 hours driving. If this is too much, we can eliminate the church in Brenham. It is a small church, but the description is very unusual. I don't know how photographic it will be. Any and all thoughts are welcome. Gonna stop for dinner in Lockhart. Was thinking Blacks, but again, this is a group.
I have always wanted to tour some of the Painted Churches of Texas. These are beautiful churches built around the turn of the last century. The insides were painted in a very ornate way in order to give them the grandeur of big city churches without the cost.
Most of the churches are open to the public and welcome photographers, but a few have gates that prevent you from taking good pictures. Since I have never been to them, I am looking for input as to which churches we should visit based on how photogenic they are, as well as accessibility.
Also looking for a firm date where most of us can attend.
