So what are you really? A conservative - or a liberal?
Are you a socialist? Are you green, libertarian, anarchist, neoconservative, paleoconservative, progressive, a social democrat, a communist, a tea bagger? Or are you a south park republican?
It seems there is no lack of labels when it comes to political convictions. But how much do those labels really represent us? And how much do the existing parties in the US represent the labels and the people?
Let?s start a discussion about the general topic of political representation.
Let?s start with the questions:
- how much do the existing parties represent us?
- How much can people?s political convictions be summed up by a label like conservative or liberal etc.
And if we get to it:
If the US two-party system stops to represent the people, will it in effect be superseded by movements (like the tea party movement)?
Do we still need parties?
Would a multi-party system, as it exists in Germany, Italy or Israel, be the solution?
