When I've set up these BLT meetups in the past, there's often been a group of people who meet for dinner before heading over to the theater. Do we want to do this again? If so, do people have any suggestions about where to go? I want to be clear - meeting for dinner is completely optional. It's just a chance to get to talk with other BAS members and get to know them better. In the past, we've gone to the Ram restaurant/brewery, Boise Fry Company, Cafe Vicino, even the deli at Whole Foods. We've tried to stick to places that are close to the theater.

Hi, again, I'm sorry that I'm not really up to going to dinner; my stomach is still not in the best shape. I may get some rest after work and feel up to coming to the show; if so, I'll look for you there. (Maybe you could mention where you're sitting.) If not, then I look forward to catching you for the next play/dinner.

Ellen - Sorry, but I didn't see this message until after I got home from the show. I didn't see you in the lobby before the show or at intermission, so I guess you didn't feel up to it. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Funny show, unfortunately it looks like the other people who signed up weren't able to make it.

I didn't get any response to my dinner post a couple days ago, so I'll try again.

If we're going to go someplace for dinner before the show, we should pick a place soon. As a starting point for discussion, I'll toss out Chicago Connection Pizza, 310 N 4th Street (between Bannock and Jefferson), about four blocks from BLT. Ellen, I can't remember if you're a vegan or a vegetarian. If you're a vegetarian, then Chicago Connection should work. If you're a vegan, maybe not so much unless you're ovo-lacto. Lisa, feel free to chime in. For what it's worth, my main motive for suggesting Chicago Connection is that I've never been there. Another possibility would be the deli at Boise Co-op. (I'm not a member - are either of you members?)

The Chicago Connection menu is at They also have printable coupons for things like free breadsticks with a pizza or various pizza deals.

When you make your reservations / buy your ticket, mention that you're part of the Boise Active Singles group and ask to sit near me.
