Sand Volleyball... and beer!

Let's go play some sand volleyball at the Beerhouse in Boise! It's a beer and wine only establishment but they have a variety of beers on tap and in bottles at reasonable prices. It is a cash-only bar (no credit or debit) but they do have an ATM inside as well. Two sand volleyball courts where whoever feels like playing can jump into pick-up games. No need to bring any equipment, the bar has nets and volleyballs. Just bring a playful attitude and a powerful thirst!! Also, there are a number of tables and chairs courtside so folks can rest between games or just sit and cheer on the participants. See you there!

This event has sort of morphed into a backyard pot-luck BBQ type of event. Please feel free to bring meat to grill (the Beerhouse graciously allows us to use their BBQ), cutlery and paper plates, snacks, desserts, etc.

Kristi is right, they could lose their business. If you can't go a few hours without your own booze, go join another group...namely AA.

The Beer House has give the BAS group notice: Police ourselves our don't come back. # items I was told we need to watch for ae, no dogs, no kids under 21, and NO ALCOHOL. The Beer House has a beer and wine license, only. The sale of those beverages is what supports the volleyball courts, and the grill we BBQ on. In the past I have carried my own water jug in, because I don't drink alcohol. Kinda crazy thing to do, they provide ice water and glasses. Soo, from here on I will use their water and glasses, and I will continue to tip the help for the hard work they do. This is an awesome venue, and it would be a shame to lose it.

Thanks for relaying the message Jim... We need to be mindful about the fact that this is indeed a BUSINESS we are patronizing. It's very kind of them to allow us to bring in outside food, but really outside beverages of any kind should not be brought in. This isn't just someone's backyard. Even if you just intend to have a soda you should purchase it from the establishment. Would you try to bring your own beverages into the Reef or The Cottonwood Grill? I'm a little dumbfounded on this one.
