Seeking opportunities and open to freelance projects though ideally I'd like to work for a solid company/boutique. Working experience with AutocadLT[masked], CS4 & 5: Fireworks, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
Knowledge, helpful tips, insight on front end code, solutions for cross browser compatibility issues, best practices, interaction with fellow designers and developers, job opportunities, introductions to new tools, presentations, constructive criticism.
I'm fairly fresh and still discovering what I've a knack for in the realm of web design, though I've a strong background in traditional art (drawing/painting/illustration). I am discovering I enjoy working with front-end code and am presently diving into jquery. Love using Fireworks for mock-ups and site design and am partial to Illustrator.
I've found I gravitate toward more geometric sans serif fonts though I cannot say I have a favorite at present. Using titilliumtext22 on my portfolio re-design and like the feel of it. Least favorite? Hard to say, though many of the display fonts out there are hideous...Hobo anyone?
Moved to Boise from Omaha, Nebraska in 2012. I was formerly employed as a commercial kitchen designer (7 years of blue prints/autocad/etc) though I'm pursuing a career in web design. Recent grad from Bellevue University with BA in web design.
This is a great group with wonderful people! A variety of experience and disciplines revolving around graphic design with attendees willing to share their experience and knowledge.
